Mimosas, then democracy.

The Resistance Brunch is a progressive grassroots organization dedicated to bringing people together to share knowledge, defend the integrity of our democratic institutions, and educate our community on key election issues. This includes voter registration, understanding elections, and exploring candidate platforms. Our mission is to act as a force multiplier, amplifying the efforts of organizations working on our behalf at local, state, and federal levels, with a focus on making a measurable impact on elections through volunteer engagement.

The brunch is the excuse. The room is the point.

Why this election, why now

Florida votes twice this year: the primary on August 18 and the general on November 3. An open governor’s race, a U.S. Senate special election, every U.S. House and Florida House seat, and new congressional district lines — and every old vote-by-mail request has expired. The single most useful thing you can do this month takes two minutes: re-request your mail ballot.
